Offering homemade childhood goodies with the main ingredient, NOSTALGIA — because every bite tells a story.
I’m a self-taught baker (and wannabe chef) raised in a home where food was both a hobby-turned-to-career and a personal love language! Sharing a meal meant exchanging stories and recipes.
As I started OMG YZA (eye-zuh), I’m reminded of the times my meals were limited to top ramen and a few trusted family recipes. Like every child who made it their mission to avoid certain food, I eventually learned the joys of trying new foods! Don’t get me wrong, but top ramen was once (and still is) a lazy afternoon meal, but can now be prime culinary work of art with a little extra fresh vegetables and a 7 minute-egg with a side of Spanish Bread, of course!
I fell in love with food, not only because my family has some extreme party-planners and self-made chefs, but because I learned that good food evolves with us! It can remain the same, whether it’s a trusted family recipe, or remixed like my goodies, it’s good food because every bite tastes like nostalgia — it will always make you remember a story or a moment in life.
I hope to not only share a piece of my life with each recipe, but that it encourages all of us to create and value moments that’ll turn into memories that we can hold on to.
